President Petr Pavel and Mrs. Eva Pavlova received the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and Mrs. Beate Bender at Prague Castle.
President Pavel will host an official lunch in honor of President Mattarella.
The Italian President will visit the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague and meet with representatives of the Italian community, a sign of the importance given not only to political diplomacy but also to the Italian presence in the Czech Republic.
The Italian President will walk across Charles Bridge, meet with the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Tomio Okamura, and visit the Strahov Monastery. Together with President Pavel, he will participate in the musical event “European Harmony,” performed by musicians from the Italian Youth Orchestra and the Czech Students’ Philharmonic. The President will meet the Senate president, Milos Vystcil, who is hosting an official lunch in honor of the Italian President.
