Horseback archery slowly gaining ground in the Czech Republic

Horseback archery is slowly finding its place in the Czech Republic, thanks to enthusiasts like Oldřich Pítra. He organizes international workshops and runs his own club in the hope that this still relatively fringe sport could one day make it to the Olympic Games.

Horseback archery or mounted archery has seen a resurgence in the world in the last decade or two but in the Czech Republic it is still restricted to a circle of diehard enthusiasts.
