The XII edition of the Celebration of Romanians in the Czech Republic

On Sunday, September 6, the Romanian community in Prague celebrated the XII edition of the Celebration of Romanians in the Czech Republic – a soulful event, which, after a two-year break, returned with the same energy, emotion, and joy that always bring people together.

At the invitation of the Ambassador of Romania, H.E. Mrs. Antoaneta Barta was present at the opening of the event, and Mrs.Barbora Urbanova, vice-president of the Chamber of Deputies and president of the Czech-Romania Friendship Group within the Czech Parliament, whose participation represented a first and another beautiful opportunity to strengthen traditional ties with friendship and collaboration between Romania and the Czech Republic.

In the particularly welcoming atmosphere of the Ethnographic Section of the National Museum of the Czech Republic in Kinský Garden, the public enjoyed a special cultural program of traditional music and dances, activities for children, cultural exhibitions and presentations, as well as the delicious specialties of traditional gastronomy and Romanian wines.

The big crowd was a mix of  Romanians of all ages, families, children and young people, but also numerous Czech and international friends, lovers of Romanian culture.

The friendly atmosphere, openness and joy of being together made this day a true celebration of community.

The event was organized by the Association of Romanians in the Czech Republic (ARRC), under the patronage of the Romanian Embassy in the Czech Republic, in collaboration with Prague 5 City Hall, the National Museum of the Czech Republic, the Prichindeilor Library and the Moldoveni.cz Association, with the financial support of the Department for Romanians Everywhere.
