Beavers fighting drought in Czechia are “ecosystem engineers,” says zoologist

Despite the rainier days in the second half of August, the Czech Republic continues to face a long-term moisture deficit. One solution that can significantly help combat drought is beaver dams.

Soutok Protected Landscape Area is located at Czechia’s border with Austria and Slovakia, close to the town of Břeclav.
