CzechTourism chief: Fast-growing tourism is only part of the success story

Czechia has been named Europe’s fastest-growing tourism destination in a major international study, a result that CzechTourism sees as confirmation that its efforts to reshape the country’s image abroad are paying off. Rather than simply attracting ever larger crowds, the agency says its goal is to encourage visitors to stay longer, explore more of the country and bring greater benefits to local communities.

For the head of CzechTourism, František Reismüller, the findings are less a surprise than a welcome confirmation that the agency’s long-term strategy is beginning to bear fruit.
