The church built from donations in defiance of the communist regime

It stands as both an architectural landmark and a symbol of quiet resistance. The Church of St. Joseph in Senetářov was built with donations from ordinary people who fulfilled a wartime vow despite the obstacles of the communist regime.

During the communist era in Czechoslovakia (1948–1989), building new churches was almost impossible.
