The Ambassador of Colombia to the Czech Republic, H.E. Mrs. Solangel Ortiz Mejía, in collaboration with the Prague Conservatory and the Pardubice Primary School of Arts (ZUŠ Pardubice), organized the Second Edition of the Youth Music Exchange Concert: Colombia – Czech Republic.
The concert took place at the Koncertní sál Pražské konzervatoře.
On this occasion, the concert featured members of the Lleras Symphonic Music Center of Buenaventura (Valle del Cauca, Colombia), together with talented students from the Prague Conservatory and ZUŠ Pardubice.
More than seventy young musicians shared the stage in a performance that brings together the finest Colombian and Czech musical traditions, offering an evening of cultural exchange and artistic excellence.
This event was organized within the framework of the Cultural and Sports Diplomacy Initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia.
The program is designed to provide international opportunities for Colombian children and adolescents from vulnerable communities and areas affected by conflict who have demonstrated outstanding artistic and athletic talent. Through these experiences, the initiative seeks to support their holistic development and strengthen their role as positive leaders and peacebuilders within their communities.
The Ambassador & The Embassy would like to greet and express their sincere gratitude to Maestro Daniel Prokeš, Statutory Subdirector of the Prague Conservatory, who generously opened the doors of this prestigious institution to us and provided us with this wonderful space for the concert that we will have the privilege of enjoying this afternoon.
